I have a habit at work of collecting picture books with goats in them. Some are very cute... some are less so.
The internal illustrations are black and white, so I went for the cover on this one.
Sparkle is a good friend, but he's also basically a dog.
Noooo don't salt and pepper my butt noooo
This goat also plays the sax.
This book is about llamas, but here's a cute goat as a treat. The llamas are also very cute.
So soft and cozy with her warm, wooly socks.
Majestic. What a good helper.
Thsi goat's a femme queen.
A regular goat.
Wooly! But a little wall-eyed.
The children clap and cheer for goats.
One bonus point for being purple.
Okay. This one isn't particularly "goat-y," but it is cute.
Nice, chunky acrylics.
The goat has fuzzy, pettable ears on the previous page.
Okay but what if... hear me out... purple bunny pom pom goat
He's mean. >:(
Barbie animals are pretty, but there's an unnerving smoothness to them. Like Barbie.
I lost the title of this one. It's some kind of sticker book.
This is a super charming book, but this "kid" in particular leaves much to be desired.
Goat gets into plenty of antics in this one.
You'd think I'd rate it higher, but IDK. Maybe it's the party hat horns.
Meeh! Baby ears!
Too stinky. Weird hat.
Unlike Goat, I am firmly pro-nibbling.
Where are your goggles and steel-toed boots? This is a work site!
Not a children's book. Made me chuckle. Fluffy ears.
They seem nice.
This other goat was on the illustrator's portfolio website!
Wise and caring.
Mweh :3 My scan does not nearly do Gillman's colored pencil illustrations justice.
A jolly lass.
The glasses are cute.
This is the most flattering illustration I could find.
Just too small.
Admirable effort depicting a goat from the front. Weirdly wrinkly necks.
Lots of cute goats in this one.
I'm sorry. I just... can't get behind this.
A lot of these will be retellings of this fable. It's hard to get all three goats gruff in one shot.
BIG. Klassen's artwork has such a pleasing texture.
Goat makes lots of friends. No notes.
I'm not sure what this book's real English title is.
A perfectly generic goat.
